How Do I Manually Activate BibleWorks 9?

1. If you cannot or do not wish to activate by Internet, then open the Manual Activation window by clicking the button in the BibleWorks Activation window to "Activate Manually." The Manual Activation Window will then display.

2. If section 1 of the Manual Activation Window indicates "Take the activation code information below to a computer with an Internet connection," click here for instructions.

3. If section 1 of the Manual Activation Window indicates "In an email message to activate@bibleworks.com, please send us the information below." Click on
activate@bibleworks.com to create an e-mail message to send to BibleWorks. Review this message to ensure it contains a Product, a "Serial Number", and a "Hardware ID" for each product you wish to activate. If it does, send the email. To expedite the process of receiving confirmation codes to activate each product you will receive an email with instructions for how to manually activate through a webpage found here. Follow the instructions on that page to receive a confirmation code for each item and complete instructions for how to activate it.

If an email was not created skip to step 4.

4. In section 2 of the Manual Activation Window there is a scrollable listbox that will display all activation codes you have so far entered. (See image below.)

Select ALL content within this window as follows:
   a. Move the mouse cursor to the upper, left-hand area within the window.
   b. Click and hold the left button of the mouse.
   c. Drag down and to the right until all content within the window is highlighted.
   d. Release the left mouse button.

5. Copy the data to the Windows clipboard by clicking the button "Copy to clipboard" below the listbox.  Three lines of data for each product will be:
    a. The Product Code.
    b. The Serial Number.
    c. The Hardware ID.


6. If you have e-mail, open an email and address it to activate@bibleworks.com. Click with the mouse into the message area of the email. Perform a PASTE action to place the text, copied previously, into the email, and send it. To expedite the process of receiving confirmation codes to activate each product you will receive an email with instructions for how to manually activate through a webpage found here. Follow the instructions on that page to receive a confirmation code for each item and complete instructions for how to activate it.

If you do not have email skip to step 7.

7. You may paste the copied data into a word processor document. Immediately after clicking Copy to Clipboard you can perform a PASTE action to a blank page in your word processor and either:

a. Use the Manual Activation page found here to enter each a Product, Serial Number and Hardware ID for each item. Follow the instructions on that page to receive a confirmation code for each item and complete instructions for how to activate it.

b. Perform a PASTE action to paste these data into a letter and send it to BibleWorks, LLC, P.O. Box 6158, Norfolk, VA 23508 USA; or

c. Perform a PASTE action to a blank page in your word processor and fax or call the information to BibleWorks Customer Support.


8. When a reply is received from BibleWorks, it will contain one or more "confirmation codes." Open the Activation Manager from within BibleWorks using FILE > ACTIVATE DATABASE, and then access the Manual Activation window by clicking "Manually Activate All."

9. Enter each confirmation code, received in the email, one at a time, into the field provided for it at the bottom.

10. When you have entered a confirmation code, click the ACTIVATE button, to the right of the field. If you do not receive a message stating activation was successful, contact BibleWorks Customer Support.

11. Repeat this process for each confirmation code received.

12. When complete, click the DONE key, then click CLOSE to close the Activation Manager.

13. If you find, after following these steps, that Manual Activation has not succeeded, copy the error message and your Manual Activation codes and transmit them to BibleWorks Customer Support.
