Periodically customers ask for the inclusion in BibleWorks of Bible texts bearing syntactical as well as morphological tags. As potentially attractive as this capability is, BibleWorks has found that, in practice, it enjoys limited demand.
While some customers find syntax databases useful tools for study, many find them to be less than helpful. Part of the problem is that using most current syntax databases requires using new and complicated terminology and concepts.
In trying to be good stewards of our development resources, BibleWorks chooses to invest in program features and databases that will help the greatest number of our users. Investing much time and resources in databases and search features of limited usefulness to most BibleWorks users is not a good option.
New and improved databases are continuing to be developed. BibleWorks will continue to investigate such databases as they become available, and evaluate if they would be suitable additions to the program.
